Hi 

Yesterday had a whole day of Visual Communication with
our lecturer Claire. 
I started to do a lot of work, 
used news paper titles that I thought matched with my theme
Chaos and Order, thought at first I use different languages but
did not have any Punjabi news papers that my dad gets, nor
did I have any other. lol. 
So jsut sticked with using titles and everythign I thought I
could use for that theme .
I ended up cutting out things about pensions, retirement, debts,
deaths etc, because in many ways those are the things that start
chaos, even if it is only something little or big.
I stuck them onto A4 paper than scanned it into the MAC so I
could edit it on photoshop .

Claire (lecturer) than showed us a sheet of plastic that had letters
both upper and lower case on. She told us that it was popular
in the 70-80's and was used by artist as they did not have MAC or
PC access . the sheet was called Dry Transfer, and used to cost
around £20 at that time.
Well we used that yesterday and it was fun actually, It ended up looking
quiet good if I say so myself lol  .
I did not really relate that to my theme, lol instead linked it to music artist
like, born, Merry etc.

Hi 

These are some of the images I took on Tuesday night lol was
a lot of fun  
Abnormal speed of Zulfikar , vanishing nearly that is what I
thought. lol.
Drew "show" with the Ipod light  obviously for the "show"
from LAYZis, cannot wait until I get their mini-album lol.

Photography

Photography was fun as well. We entered ourselves onto the college photography blog,
so we can post our work on there too for the lecturers. 
It was quiet cold outside, so when we went out to take images on the SLR cameras, 
we were trying to take the images as quick as possible lol.  Our hands were frozen
and we could not feel them at all lol. 
I tried writing names again using my Ipod, lol so asked help from Zulfikar and Sabba.
Was hard to do, because the light was not so bright, because of where we were taking
the picture before, lol. So we moved around many places just to take that one image 
that I wanted. 
Also started to take images of lights that seem to vanish. That was also hard so I
thought I try something a little different, so when helping Sabba I took osme pictures of
Zulfikar vanishing or him seeming to move at an abnormal speed, that is impossible for
humans.  
Well I was happy with the images I took today lol, especially the one with teh Ipod when
I wrote "SHOW" , I was going to try other peoples name, like Kamijo, Hyde, Gackt,
Ai, Kakeru etc. but it was quiet hard to do due to the timing and making sure the 
letters would not overlap. 

Visual Studies

Visual Studies we were doing our drawings from last week, I still have not finished
mine piece, lol.  Was trying to make it look really good by trying to make it look
smooth and blend in all the three colours as best as I could lol .
Zulfikar asked me how I done all that, so told him I was trying to blend it in by using
the chalk in 2 directions lol. He was looking at the drawing as if he was in love 
lol . He even pretend to blush as if he standing in front of his lover lol haha 
Colin was like keep on moving to the right, do not just colour in the left hand side
only lol. 

Contextual Studies

Contextual Studies were Graham (lecturer) was talking about different artist
and about Romantica Art.  At first thought what it could be about, it
certainly could not have been about romance lol  that would not have really
fit with the topic we discussed the week before lol. 
Well turned out to be artist work about the nature that we do not have power to
control of, and easy example would be death and religious view points.
We talked about the BLACK DEATH were 2/3 of the people in Europe died due to
the disease that was spread by rats and flees.

Fashion & Textiles

Hi 

Textile was a lot of fun 

We were working on our designs of the garments that we

are going to make .

Zulfikar decided to make a jubba(typical arab dress worn by

both men and women) lol, and somehow ended up talking

about the use of materials such as shower curtains with ducks on

them  lol 

After having a lot of jokes, to the point that mine and Sabba's stomach

were aching lol, I went back to do somne research .

I was looking t clothing for both men and women from DIESEL to

BLUEBERRY to Armani etc, and than started to look at more Visual Kei

artist to stick everything into my sketchbook . I spent quiet a lot on

time researching and only ended up printing images of Versailles, born

and Memento Mori, and also some images of Gothic buildings.

I than wanted to start designing some of the ideas that were on my

mind lol, so I went to draw roses and also find some different roses on

the internet.That did take me a lot of time, becasue I wanted to find the

perfect rose, or a nice rose that I drew on, because I wanted to use it as

embroidery. I used a piece of cloth and put it onto the embroidery ring.

I chose a red string so I could start of making the rose embroidery later.

As time was running out, and I also wanted to try to make a sleeve, I cut out

the shape of it onto a piece of paper so I could used it later on at home when

making a test piece sleeve
