3D-Design

Sabba and me went to find buildings that we could use for our
reserach for 3D Design ニコニコ,
so took pictures of Hyatt Hotel, Symphony Hall and than of the Cube.

Reason was because they were fitting towards my work so thought it was
a good way of getting an influence.

3D-Design

Yesterday had 3D with Matt (lecturer).
Matt had a discussion with us, as to what we are planning to do, what our theme
is etc.
He helped me quiet a lot as to what my final theme will be based on. チョキ
My theme is based on light and sustainability, although I am looking at natural light,
I am also taking it into a philosophical way too. I have started to researched on glass
as it is the best material to use when concentrating on light.
I saw work of an artist who used glass that seems to be shattered and than has drawn
the Virgin Mary on it. I really like how it looked and so I thought I look further into that area,
that is when Matt thought I should look at religious buildings, as the idea of the
shattered glass art work seemed very modern, but also linked to stianed glass windows
of churches.

After that I thought I look into Japananese architecture as well as into Religious places
of worship. This included Temples in Japan, Churches, Sikh Temples in England, India...etc.

I researched more into buildings and materials as well.

3D-Design

Hi (・∀・)

Just thought I let you all know what I meant last time about creating
shapes for buildings or at least some sort of ideas of what I could make,
with the use of wood pieces グッド! にひひ.

Previously I did say that I mainly had triangle wood pieces than anything else lol,
but it did help me to create different shapes, as usually start off with squares and
rectangles when creating buildings. ニコニコ

Here are the pictures I took so that I could develop on it using Google Sketch Up
program as well as technical drawings о(ж>▽<)y ☆.

3D-Design

Got 3D Design now, as my pathway stage, so will have lecturers Kate and Matthew
twice a week ニコニコ.

Was stuck with what I was suppose to do, as originally thought to use
Japanese writing and sustainability/eco friendly building.
I wanted the building to have a  lot of light, so I thought of using the kanji for light.
"Hikari", the symbol for it would give  me a good opportunity to create a design,
but I found it hard to connect it to a good strong design that would fit together with
sustainability. I started to make structures out of scrap wood pieces,
that I found in the workshop.
Most of the pieces were triangles, but I thougt with it being a simple shape, that it
still would work good together. (^∇^)
